The experience fills Sphere’s 160,000 sq. ft. interior display plane, which wraps up, over and around the audience to create a fully immersive visual environment.
- To take advantage of Sphere Immersive Sound’s 167,000 programmable speakers, and ability to direct sound anywhere in the venue, the original film’s score has been re-recorded to take on new clarity. Multi-sensory 4D elements have been combined and leveraged for maximum impact to make audiences feel like they are in the experience alongside the characters, such as high-velocity wind arrays, atmospheric fog, towering fire bursts, and infrasound haptic seats.

Booking and Confirmation Process
- Booking normally confirmed within 5 minutes if available. In the unlikely event that the inventory runs out, we will send you a cancellation notice and a full refund will be issued shortly. Please check your email.
- You will receive your booking information instantly via email. In the event that you do not receive our email, please check your spam folder, or log into your User Center to check your order status and download your voucher when available.
How To Use
- All ticket sales are final – no refunds or exchanges.
- The film experience begins at the time listed on your ticket. Late seating is not permitted.
- Doors open 45 minutes before the time listed on your ticket. Late seating is not permitted.
- The Wizard of Oz at Sphere runs approximately 75 minutes.
- Mobile tickets will need to be presented on your smartphone. We recommend downloading and adding your tickets to your phone’s wallet in advance of your arrival. Guests can display more than one ticket on the same smartphone.
- Please check Ticketmaster to determine whether tickets for your event are transferrable.

What is the cancellation policy?
Non-refundable reservations cannot be cancelled or modified once submitted.
What if you miss the appointed time or departure date?
Once the booking is confirmed, an absence or failure to show up on the scheduled date or time is a no-show. No refunds or reschedules will be issued for no-shows and late arrivals.

- Late seating is not permitted.
- The Wizard of Oz at Sphere is intended for guests aged 6+. All guests, regardless of age, require a ticket.
- The Wizard of Oz at Sphere is an immersive experience with various elements, including seat haptics, movement sensations, flashing lights, intense lighting, visual effects, loud noises, falling and flying objects, projectiles, pyrotechnics and atmospheric simulations such as fog, wind, bubbles, mist and scent. Such elements may aggravate certain medical or physical conditions, and guests should take into consideration if they have a history of discomfort or physical symptoms when experiencing these elements. If you have any concerns and/or are pregnant, you should consult with your physician prior to attending an immersive experience.
- Alternative seating and accessible seating options are available. Alternative and accessible seating may be secured through Ticketmaster or by contacting the Accessibility Services Department.
- Please contact the Sphere Accessibility Services Department here or 725-258-6724, Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm PT, and Saturday and Sunday between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm PT to arrange for alternative and accessible seating. Hours are extended on event days from one hour prior to show time to start of the final show.
- There are two designated Sensory Rooms – one on level 2 and one on level 6 that are open during public events, subject to availability. Please see your nearest guest experience representative for additional assistance onsite.
- If you or someone in your party requires an accommodation and you have already purchased tickets, please reach out to the Accessibility Services Department to discuss relocation options.
- Photo and video may be taken throughout the Atrium but are not permitted during the film experience.
- Wearable technology is not part of the film experience.
