Itinerary

01

Day 1: Seattle → Coeur d’Alene → Missoula

Departing Seattle this morning, we'll travel east along Highway 90. We'll first visit Lake Gottler (also known as Blue Lake) in northwestern Idaho. You'll see a variety of villas scattered along its pristine white sand beach. You'll also enjoy a scenic boat tour, taking in the stunning scenery, and even see the world's only golf course on a lake. We'll then drive to Missoula, Montana, where we'll visit the famous "Fifty Thousand Silver Dollar Shop." We'll spend the night in Missoula.

Itinerary:

Seattle → Lake Coeur d’Alene Cruise (optional, 90 mins) → The 50,000 Silver Dollar (60 mins) → Missoula

Coeur d’Alene

Lake Gotling's waters are pure, azure blue, and shimmering, earning it the nickname "Blue Lake." Within the lake lies a floating pedestrian bridge, conceived and built in 1985 by a boatman and touted as the world's longest. Strolling along the bridge, enjoying the bright sunshine and gentle breeze, and admiring the azure waters, the lake, and the surrounding mountains is truly a relaxing experience. You can also visit the world's only golf course in a lake: the course is mostly situated on the lakeside, with the final hole situated on a tiny island in the middle of the lake, creating a picturesque scene. You can also take a scenic boat tour of the lake for breathtaking views of the surrounding scenery.

50,000 Silver Dollar Collection Bar

This small shop, opened on Route 10 in 1951, initially catered mainly to lumberjacks in work pants, silver dollars in their pockets. The owner had the idea to hang a silver dollar on the door with his name on the bottom. Unexpectedly, the workers began to imitate him, one after another, each nailing a dollar and leaving their own name. The number of silver dollars grew, from one to a hundred, then to a thousand, and finally to ten thousand. Passing tourists, drawn to this ingenious idea, would nail a silver dollar on the wall and write their name to show their presence. Business flourished, and the Fifty Thousand Silver Dollar Shop was born. In 1956, the shop expanded to Route 90. Today, the shop houses over 60,000 silver dollars, making it a must-see attraction for visitors along Route 90.

Day 2: Missoula → Yellowstone National Park → West Yellowstone

Yellowstone National Park spans an area of 3,468 square miles (8,983 square kilometers), located primarily in the U.S. state of Wyoming, although it also extends into Montana and Idaho. Yellowstone National Park is one of the most stunning Wonderlands in the world. The majority of the world’s geysers are preserved here. They are the main reason the park was established in 1872 as America's first national park – an idea that spread worldwide later. We will arrive in Yellowstone around noon, and we will show you around before going to the hotel to stay for the night.

Itinerary:

Missoula → Yellowstone National Park (Mandatory, 5 hours) → West Yellowstone

Note: In the Yellowstone Park, we will go to visit: Artist Paint Pots (30 mins), Fountain Freight Road (60 mins), Morning Glory Pool (15 mins), Old Faithful Geyser (visit duration depends on the eruption time of the geyser), Grand Prismatic Hot Springs (60 mins) and other scenic spots, please refer to the tour guide’s actual arrangements.

Yellowstone National Park

Located in the Rocky Mountains, known as the "backbone of America", it is located on the lava plateau between the Northern Rockies and the Central Rockies in the western United States. The geothermal wonders are its hallmark, a primitive landscape of the earth forged by water and fire. The natural landscape in the park is divided into five major areas, namely the Mammoth Area, the Roosevelt Area, the Canyon Area, the Geyser Area and the Lake Area, each with its own characteristics. It exceeds the limits of human art and is the most wonderful and spectacular scenery on the surface of the earth.

Old Faithful Geyser

Old Faithful geyser is named for its consistent and regular eruption. Currently, it erupts approximately every 60 to 110 minutes, and each eruption lasts four to five minutes. The water column is more than 40 meters high, which is spectacular and never stops. The Old Faithful Visitor Center will display the eruption schedule in advance, so you can check the eruption time in advance before visiting with confidence.

The Grand Prismatic Hot Spring

Also known as the Seven Color Pool, it is the largest hot spring in the United States and the third largest in the world. It is 75-91 meters wide and 49 meters deep, and it gushes out about 2,000 liters of 71-degree hot water every minute. The amazing thing about the Grand Prismatic Spring is that the color of the lake changes with the seasons. In spring, the lake changes from emerald green to golden orange-red, which is due to the algae and pigment-containing bacteria and other microorganisms living in the mineral-rich water. In midsummer, the chlorophyll content is relatively low, so the lake water appears brilliant orange, red or yellow. But in the cold winter, due to the lack of light, these microorganisms will produce more chlorophyll to suppress the color of carotenoids, so the water will appear deep dark green.

Mud Volcano Area

Located in the eastern part of Yellowstone National Park, not far from the northern part of Yellowstone Lake. Most of the fountains here do not spray water, but mud, and every time they erupt, the ground shakes. Next to the mud volcano, there are colorful grasses that look extremely tender and gorgeous.

Yellowstone Norris Geyser Basin

Norris Geyser Basin, named after an early Yellowstone Superintendent, may be the hottest geyser basin in Yellowstone. The stark, barren landscape of Porcelain Basin is the result of the acidic environment. Due to the hostile condition plants, algae and bacteria have difficulty in establishing themselves. Instead, the basin derives its colors from mineral oxides, in spectrums of pink, red, orange (iron oxides) and yellow (sulfur and iron sulfates). The largest geyser in the world is located here. Steamboat Geyser has long periods of dormancy, but when it does erupt it sends jets of water nearly 380 feet high in a spectacular display.

Day 3: West Yellowston → Grand Teton National Park → Yellowstone National Park → West Yellowston

Today, we will go to Jackson, a famous cowboy town. There is a vast elk sanctuary near the town. The most eye-catching thing in the town is the Jackson Town Square with Elk Antler Arches in the center, which is built with 7,500 real antlers, which is spectacular. Following, we will arrive at Grand Teton National Park in the northwest of Wyoming, USA. The Grand Teton is 4199 meters above sea level and is the highest peak in the Teton Mountains. There are glaciers that have survived to this day. Then we will continue our tour of Yellowstone National Park. Finally, we will return to West Yellowstone Hotel.

Itinerary:

West Yellowstone → Jackson Town → Jackson Town Square with Elk Antler Arches (30 mins) → Grand Teton National Park (Mandatory, 120 mins) → Yellowstone National Park (3 hours) → West Yellowstone

Notes:

1. In the Yellowstone National Park, we will visit: Artist Point (30 mins), Upper Falls (30 mins), Hayden Valley (15 mins), Mud Volcano (30 mins), Fishing Bridge (20 mins), West Thumb Geyser Basin (45 mins) and other scenic spots, please refer to the tour guide’s actual arrangements.

2. The East Gate of Yellowstone National Park is expected to open on 05/02/2026. Before that, the following attractions: Upper and Lower Falls, Artist Point, Hayden Canyon, Mud Volcano, Fishing Bridge, West Thumb Geyser will not be accessible. Please understand.

3. The South Gate of Yellowstone National Park is expected to open on 05/10/2026. Therefore, West Thumb Geyser will not be accessible from 05/02/2026 to 05/09/2026. Please understand.

Jackson Town Square with Elk Antler Arches

The park is not big, but there are giant arches made of deer antlers in the four directions of east, west, south and north. The antlers are all sharp, but they are not obtained by hunting. Every winter, a large number of elk come from the mountains to the "National Elk Refuge" in Jackson to spend the winter. In the spring, the antlers fall off naturally and are replaced. After the elk leave, countless treasures are left everywhere.

Grand Teton National Park

Grand Teton National Park was established on February 26, 1929. There are 300 kilometers of trails in Grand Teton National Park. There are many lakes in the park, including Jackson Lake and Jenny Lake. Most of the area of Grand Teton National Park is located in the Rocky Mountains, and the natural scenery is very magnificent. In addition, Grand Teton National Park also has extremely rich biological resources, including American bison, grizzly bears, black bears, moose, etc.

It exceeds the limits of human art and is the most wonderful and spectacular scenery on the surface of the earth.

Artist Point

The scenery here is particularly spectacular. The canyon is more than 300 feet deep. The canyon walls are mainly yellow, mixed with black, red and pink, and clusters of green pine trees. These colors are mixed but not chaotic, looking like a peacock's tail, and also like the pointillism of a romantic painter who applied several layers of color in the same place.

Hayden Valley

Hayden Valley is located on the edge of the Yellowstone crater. It is an open grassland with relatively little geothermal activity. Because of the river passing through it, the grass and water are lush, so it is one of the areas with more wild animals in Yellowstone Park. The main animals are bison, elk, black bears, brown bears and coyotes. Wild ducks, pelicans and other birds can often be seen in the Yellowstone River. There are viewing points on the roadside, and many tourists often use binoculars to watch animals.

West Thumb Geyser Basin

The West Thumb Geyser Basin, located on the edge of Yellowstone Lake, was formed 150,000 years ago by the collapse of the earth's crust. The combination of hot springs and lake water has created a wonderful misty landscape: the misty area is the steam of hot springs, and the green waves are the water of Yellowstone Lake, which complements the blue sky and white clouds in the background, forming a landscape different from other hot spring areas in Yellowstone. This area is equivalent to the bay of Yellowstone Lake, where many geysers gather. The colors of the water outlets vary, some are transparent green, and some are dark black like cement. Many water outlets present a beautiful fantasy.

Day 4: West Yellowstone → Yellowstone National Park → Missoula

In the West and Southwest, Yellowstone is home to some 10,000 thermal features, over 500 of which are geysers. Today we will visit Norris Geyser Basin. Norris Geyser Basin is the hottest and most changeable thermal area in Yellowstone. We will deeply explore many of its features: Rainbow Colors, hissing steam, and pungent odors. All of these combines to create an unique experience in Yellowstone. After that, we will return to Missoula.

Itinerary:

West Yellowstone → Yellowstone National Park (5 hours) → Missoula

Note: In the Yellowstone Park, we will head to visit Norris Geyser Basin (45 mins), Upper Terraces (30 mins), Mammoth Hot Springs (30 mins), Roosevelt Arch (15 mins) and other attractions. Please refer to the tour guide for actual arrangements.

We will visit Manito Park, a must-visit place in Spokane to enjoy the cozy atmosphere created by small waterfalls, rose gardens and cafes. We will then return to Seattle.

Itinerary:

Missoula → Spokane → Manito Park (30 mins) → Seattle

Manito Park

Manito Park is THE place to see in Spokane! It is a public park located in beautiful Spokane Washington's South Hill neighborhood.
