Itinerary:
Calgary - Johnston Canyon (75 mins) - Banff Gondola (at your own expense, 90 mins) - Banff Town: Hoodoos / Bow Falls / Surprise Corner
Depart in the early morning and head for Banff National Park, Canada’s oldest national park. As the drive winds deeper into the mountainous terrain, grasslands give way to towering mountains, marking the official entry into the heart of the Canadian Rockies.
First, visit Johnston Canyon, one of the three major canyons in the Rockies. Hike along the trails deep into the canyon to get up-close views of crystal-clear streams and cascading waterfalls. (In the event of park maintenance or other force majeure circumstances, the itinerary will be adjusted to Lake Minnewanka and Two Jack Lake instead.) Afterwards, proceed to Banff Town, where you will have free time for lunch. You may choose local restaurants or cafs to soak up the laid-back vibe of this mountain park town. In the afternoon, ride the Banff Gondola (at your own expense) up Sulphur Mountain for sweeping panoramic vistas of the Bow River Valley, Banff Town and the endless mountain ranges. Overnight stay at a hotel in Banff.
After descending the mountain, stop by the Hoodoos to view the unique rock spires shaped by natural erosion. Next, visit Bow Falls to witness the powerful rush of churning water cascading down. The final stop is Surprise Corner, offering distant views of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel and the Bow River, bringing a leisurely close to the day’s itinerary.
Itinerary:
Breakfast is on your own for the day, followed by a visit to Lake Louise, known as the Jewel of the Rockies. You will have ample time to stroll along the lakeshore, where the mirror-like water reflects the towering mountain peaks and glaciers. Enjoy a hearty lunch at the Lake Louise Chateau Restaurant (meals included for group tourists), an absolute delight. After lunch, head to Moraine Lake, surrounded by the Ten Peaks and boasting picturesque scenery. (If Moraine Lake is closed on the day, the trip will be switched to Emerald Lake instead.) After sightseeing, travel back to British Columbia via Glacier National Park and arrive in Vernon at dusk, with dinner served at a local restaurant.
Itinerary:
After breakfast, head to the Okanagan Wine Region to visit the renowned winery that supplied wine for Queen Elizabeth II's state banquets. Dedicated staff will introduce the production processes of red, white and ice wines and demonstrate wine-tasting techniques. Tour group members will also get to sample a variety of fine wines.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch, proceed to the famous Lake Monster Lake, the habitat of OGOPOGO, the lake monster from Indigenous Indian myths and legends.
Later, travel back to Vancouver via the Fraser Valley and arrive to disembark at Richmond Grand Park Hotel in Vancouver at dusk.
If you have a departure flight on the same day, please arrange a flight taking off after 10 p.m., or book an extra night's accommodation in Vancouver.
