As the first ray of sunlight sweeps across the snow-capped peaks of the Rocky Mountains in the early morning, the streets of Calgary appear serene and tranquil in the soft glow. We will wander through the most iconic blocks of the city for a City Walk. Instead of rushing to check in at scenic spots, we simply stroll along the streets, proving that travel can start with observing ordinary daily life. At the most leisurely hour of the city, we kick off our journey with a hearty brunch, experiencing the unique lifestyle nurtured by the land of Alberta. The elegance of a modern metropolis and the free-spirited cowboy vibe blend perfectly together over the dining table.
With the lingering aroma of rye bread on your palate, we head west following the course of the Bow River. The city skyline gradually fades into the plains in the rearview mirror, while the imposing scenery of Johnston Canyon in the Rocky Mountains comes into full view.
Around noon, we visit Vermilion Lake, an emerald-like lake reflecting the graceful silhouette of Castle Mountain. Afterwards, we take a short break in Banff Town, where you are free to find lunch on your own and experience how this mountain town integrates exotic styles from all over the world into the embrace of the Rockies.
In the afternoon, we head for Banff Gondola (at own expense). As the cable car ascends slowly, the grand landscape of the Rockies unfolds before your eyes. Standing on the observation deck, you can overlook a panoramic 360-degree view of mountains and rivers, with the city, canyons and lakes we visited earlier becoming exquisite embellishments in this magnificent natural painting. Looking back, the leisurely brunch in the early morning serves as a meaningful prelude, endowing all the stunning natural scenery that follows with warmth and proper perspective.
Before heading back, we will witness the endless vitality of rushing Bow Falls, and admire the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel standing amidst forests and mountains at Surprise Corner. The grandeur of man-made architecture achieves a fairy-tale-like harmony with the magnificent craftsmanship of nature.

Today’s journey starts amid the morning mist of Banff Town. We will drive along roads sheltered by pine forests and snow-capped peaks towards the stunning emerald hidden gems deep in the Rocky Mountains. The moment Lake Louise comes into view unexpectedly, you will understand what is known as "a love letter written by mountains and rivers to the sky". The Victoria Glacier cascades down like pouring milk into the emerald lake surface, whose pure serenity seems to freeze time itself.
Further ahead, seasonally open Moraine Lake will amaze you with its peerless gemstone-blue water. Surrounded by the Ten Peaks like solemn deities, this profound lake forms a natural masterpiece worthy of admiration from every angle.
After a casual self-paid simple lunch, we will head into Yoho National Park. True to its name, Emerald Lake is just like a jasper gently held up by forests, with its water shimmering softly in the sunlight. Every ripple left by canoes glides across the lake is like a line of poetry. Not far away, the Kicking Horse River has carved the astonishing natural wonder Natural Bridge out of rocks over thousands of years. The rushing river surges through stone caves, presenting the eternal interplay between the flexibility of water and the firmness of stone.
Later, we will travel along the Icefield Parkway, rated as one of the most beautiful highways in the world. Snow-capped peaks follow closely along the way and glaciers seem within reach. Every bend unfolds a magnificent landscape scroll of mountains and waters. The finale of today’s trip takes place at Columbia Icefield Centre. Stepping onto the Skywalk suspended above the Sunwapta Valley, you will feel as if walking between clouds and cliffs. Beneath your feet lie rushing torrents in deep valleys, while ancient glaciers stretch out before your eyes, letting the grandeur of nature stir your heart deeply.
In the evening, we will check in at Glacier View Lodge. Amid the icy legends of the Rocky Mountains stands this lodging nestled between glaciers and starry skies, hailed as "the dream closest to glaciers". Every corner here captures the timeless charm of the Columbia Icefield, offering every guest a precious chance to gaze upon ancient glaciers face to face.
**Moraine Lake: It opens seasonally, generally from the Victoria Day long weekend in May to late September and early October each year, subject to official notices from national park authorities. In the afternoon, the emerald waters of Maligne Lake will bring you brand-new stunning views. If you choose to take the Maligne Lake Cruise heading towards Spirit Island, you will witness the lake water shifting hues from green to blue, with surrounding snow-capped mountains standing like silent guardians mirrored on the glass-like lake surface. Legend has it that the lake is formed by glacial tears, pure enough to wash away all mortal hustle and bustle.
Medicine Lake on the return trip adds a touch of mystery. Its water level fluctuates with seasons, giving rise to spiritual legends among indigenous people. It follows the rhythm of the earth's breath, embodying the wisdom of natural circulation through ebb and flow.

**Maligne Lake Cruise (self-funded) operates from May 29th to October 11th. Its schedule is subject to adjustment based on lake opening conditions. When the cruise is unavailable, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and Bow Lake will be arranged as alternatives for a total of 30 minutes.**

After enjoying a casual wilderness lunch under the wooden eaves at The Crossing at your own expense, Peyto Lake will present itself in the most breathtaking way. The moment you catch sight of this "sapphire of the Rockies" from Bow Summit Lookout, you will truly understand the supreme favor of nature. The lake boasts an incredible shade of blue, and its winding shoreline resembles a butterfly spreading its wings, resting peacefully amid rolling mountains.
Bow Lake unfolds a different kind of vast poetic beauty. Glacial meltwater stretches out here like a vast emerald silk ribbon, with Crowfoot Glacier casting faint shadows at the far end of the lake. Standing by the lakeside, you can feel both the softness of water and the chill of ice, a unique dual charm exclusive to alpine lakes.
In the evening, we pass by Canmore Visitor Information Centre. As our vehicle finally heads back into the bustling lights of Calgary, all the scenic memories along the way are perfectly rounded off, marking a wonderful conclusion to this Rocky Mountains tour.

Once the booking is confirmed, an absence or failure to show up on the scheduled date or time is a no-show. No refunds or reschedules will be issued for no-shows and late arrivals.

- Cruise tickets for Maligne Lake are limited controlled resources. When available tickets run out, local travel agencies will allocate resources based on order submission time. We will issue refunds to tourists who fail to secure tickets.
- In the Rocky Mountain Scenic Area, the temperature difference between morning and evening is quite large. The average daytime temperature in summer is 25 degrees Celsius, while the average nighttime temperature ranges from 15 to 18 degrees Celsius. Please pack suitable luggage accordingly.
- The Rocky Mountains enjoy abundant sunshine and strong ultraviolet rays in summer, so please prepare sun protection products. The area has a dry climate, making body lotion also an essential travel item.
- Wild animals are frequently spotted in the Rocky Mountain Scenic Area. Feeding them is strictly prohibited. Do not get off the vehicle to watch if you encounter large wild animals.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in all hotel rooms throughout the trip. Violators will be fined no less than 300 Canadian dollars.
- Most hotels in the Rocky Mountain area are 3 to 4-story wooden buildings, and some are not equipped with elevators.
