In the morning, we will drive to Banff National Park and arrive at Sulphur Mountain, where you can take the Banff Gondola (at your own expense). As the gondola ascends slowly, you can admire the stunning snowy scenery surrounded by rolling mountains and snow-capped peaks.
Next, we will head to the Hoodoos standing high above the banks of the Bow River, and witness the magnificent Bow Falls rushing down. The dark rocks and foaming white water form a delightful contrast, just like a mighty river surging eastward.
Then we will proceed to Surprise Corner (closed for maintenance from September 8 to October 20), where you can enjoy distant views of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel and the Bow River scenery.
Afterwards, we will visit the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, which features a Scottish castle-style architecture, and have lunch here at your own expense.
After lunch, we will explore Johnston Canyon, one of the three major canyons in the Canadian Rockies. Walk along the trails until you reach the rushing waterfalls.
In case of force majeure such as scenic area closure for maintenance, the itinerary will be adjusted to visit Lake Minnewanka and Two Jack Lake instead. We will check in to a hotel in Banff in the evening.

We depart from the hotel in Banff in the morning and catch distant views of Crowfoot Glacier along the way. Then we arrive at Peyto Lake. In case of force majeure such as scenic area closure for maintenance, we will visit Waterfowl Lake as an alternative. Shaped like a maple leaf, the lake resembles a sapphire ribbon nestled in the valleys of the Canadian Rockies.
Afterwards, we will have buffet lunch at The Crossing at your own expense.
We then continue along the scenic Highway 93, also known as the Icefield Parkway, to reach the Icefield Centre. Here you may take the Snowcoach (at your own expense) onto the Athabasca Glacier to witness nature's creation over hundreds of millions of years. You can also walk on the 280-meter-high Skywalk (at your own expense), which offers a panoramic view of the Sunwapta Valley. When mist and clouds drift around, you will feel as if you are wandering above the clouds.
Next, we head to Athabasca Falls. Carved by melting ice and snow, the waterfall has a total drop of 23 meters. Finally, we drive to Jasper Town and check in to the local hotel.
*Ice Explorer & Skywalk (at your own expense) operate from May 1 to October 12.*
From October 13 onwards, we will stay at the scenic spots, and the Ice Explorer and Skywalk activities will not be arranged.
When the weather is fine: Guests may take an easy hike on the hills in front of the glacier (about 60 minutes) to get a close look at the icefield scenery.
When the weather is poor: Following the tour guide's arrangement, we will view the glacier from a distance, and add a visit to Waterfowl Lake to the itinerary.

We set off from our hotel in Jasper and pass by Medicine Lake. At the end of the route lies Maligne Lake, the world's second largest glacial lake. You may take the seasonal Maligne Lake Cruise (at your own expense)* to sail across the 22-kilometre-long lake and approach Sprite Island, known as "the meeting place of gods".
After lunch at Maligne Lake (at your own expense), we head to Maligne Canyon*, the longest and deepest canyon in the Canadian Rockies. Affected by the 2024 wildfires, this scenic spot may be replaced with Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and Beauvert Lake depending on the opening status of the national park. Carved by glacial erosion, the canyon features deep ravines and rugged rocks, presenting a breathtaking landscape.
We then travel south along the Icefield Parkway, stop for a rest at The Crossing, and make a photo stop at the expansive Bow Lake before continuing south back to Banff.
*Maligne Lake Cruise (at your own expense) runs from May 29 to October 11. The schedule is subject to change based on lake ice conditions. When the cruise is unavailable, we will visit Pyramid Lake (45 minutes) and Patricia Lake (15 minutes) as alternatives.
*Due to the impact of the 2024 wildfires, Maligne Canyon may be substituted with Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and Beauvert Lake (30 minutes in total) according to the national park's opening arrangements.

We leave the hotel early in the morning and head west along Highway 1. The imposing Castle Mountain comes into view, and soon we arrive at Lake Louise, one of the most famous lakes in the Rocky Mountains. Bathed in sunlight, the mineral-rich lake shimmers with stunning blue hues. Surrounded on three sides by the towering Victoria Glacier, it resembles a jade gem nestled among the mountains, earning it the nickname "the Sapphire of the Rockies".
Looking back from the lakeshore, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise stands quietly amid the pine forests, welcoming visitors from all over the world.
Next, we hike to the top of the trail. At the seasonal Moraine Lake, the vivid emerald waters blend perfectly with the jagged Ten Peaks. Standing at the vantage point, you can take in the full beauty of the lake and mountains, losing track of time completely.
After leaving Moraine Lake, we proceed to Lake Louise Village for lunch, which is at your own expense. Chinese or Western set meals can be booked additionally.
After lunch, we continue westwards. We pass the Spiral Tunnel, a historic structure built through the arduous labor of Pacific Railway workers, and enter Yoho National Park. Here lies the serene Emerald Lake, where red canoes glide across the peaceful water, creating ripples one after another.
We then visit the Natural Bridge, carved over thousands of years by the flowing Kicking Horse River. The waterway, together with pine trees, distant mountains and shallow shoals, forms a picturesque landscape.
On the return trip, we stop at Banff Town before driving back to Calgary.
*Moraine Lake: It operates seasonally. The typical opening period is from Victoria Day long weekend in May to late September and early October each year, subject to official notices from the national park authority.
If Moraine Lake is closed and inaccessible, it will be replaced by Lake Minnewanka (30 mins) and Vermilion Lakes (15 mins). The mandatory fee for Moraine Lake will be waived accordingly.

What if you miss the appointed time or departure date?
Once the booking is confirmed, an absence or failure to show up on the scheduled date or time is a no-show. No refunds or reschedules will be issued for no-shows and late arrivals.
Other important information
- Fuel Surcharge Collection Notice.Due to the persistently high international fuel prices, a fuel surcharge will be applied to all summer tour groups to maintain high-quality service during the summer travel season. Charging Standard 5 Canadian dollars per person per day. The arrival transfer day is excluded from the surcharge calculation. Payment Method Cash payment to be collected on tour.
- The night club at Athabasca Hotel in Jasper is open from Friday to Sunday and on holidays. Some rooms may be affected by the music.
- It is recommended that you book catering packages and activity items included in the itinerary as early as possible. No additional bookings will be accepted 7 days prior to departure and throughout the trip.
- The order of scenic spots and transit cities may be adjusted according to actual travel conditions such as travel schedule, weather, traffic and other objective factors. Visitors are advised not to arrange early departure from the group, otherwise you shall bear any losses incurred due to such changes.
- Please arrive at each designated assembly point 5 to 10 minutes in advance. If you miss the tour bus due to late arrival, you need to proceed to the next assembly point on your own.
- Travelers under 16 years old must be accompanied by adults aged 18 and above when joining the tour group.
- Free activities included in the itinerary will not be refunded if they cannot be provided due to force majeure such as traffic problems and bad weather, or if you fail to participate for personal reasons. We appreciate your understanding.
- Cruise tickets for Maligne Lake are limited controlled resources. When available tickets run out, local travel agencies will allocate resources based on order submission time. We will issue refunds to tourists who fail to secure tickets.
- In the Rocky Mountain Scenic Area, the temperature difference between morning and evening is quite large. The average daytime temperature in summer is 25 degrees Celsius, while the average nighttime temperature ranges from 15 to 18 degrees Celsius. Please pack suitable luggage accordingly.
- The Rocky Mountains enjoy abundant sunshine and strong ultraviolet rays in summer, so please prepare sun protection products. The area has a dry climate, making body lotion also an essential travel item.
- Wild animals are frequently spotted in the Rocky Mountain Scenic Area. Feeding them is strictly prohibited. Do not get off the vehicle to watch if you encounter large wild animals.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in all hotel rooms throughout the trip. Violators will be fined no less than 300 Canadian dollars.
- Most hotels in the Rocky Mountain area are 3 to 4-story wooden buildings, and some are not equipped with elevators.
