We plan to meet the tour guide at Whittier Cruise Terminal at 11:30 in the morning, then take our port transfer shuttle to pass through the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, the longest combined rail and highway tunnel in North America, heading for Anchorage, the largest city in Alaska. Along the way, you can admire towering mountains, sparkling glaciers and shimmering lakes, as well as the winding and picturesque Turnagain Arm. We are expected to arrive at the hotel in Anchorage at 13:30.

Day 2: Anchorage – Talkeetna – Anchorage

We plan to depart from the designated hotel at 9:00 a.m. and travel by vehicle to Talkeetna, a gold-mining town at the foot of Denali. Upon arrival, proceed to the Talkeetna Ranger Station of Denali National Park to collect the daily visitor stamp (approximately 15 minutes), then head to the viewing platform to overlook Denali, the highest peak in North America (approximately 15 minutes). You may also freely explore the town’s unique restaurants, art galleries, cafes and vintage-style boutique shops.

Talkeetna features a wealth of fun summer activities. If you wish to get an up-close view of Denali, you can choose either the Denali Scenic Flight (self-paid, advance reservation available) or the **Talkeetna Jet Boat Cruise (self-paid, advance reservation available). Due to the schedule arrangement, only one option can be selected. We expect to return to Anchorage between 19:00 and 19:30.

Once a bustling gold mining hub, Talkeetna still retains the rustic charm of early Alaska. Log cabins, roadside inns and board-built storefronts line both sides of the town’s only main road. Serving not only as the gateway to Denali and a base camp for mountaineers, Talkeetna is also a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts.

Optional Self-Paid Activities

1) Denali Scenic Flight (Round trip: about 1 or 1.5 hours with English commentary)

Board a small sightseeing aircraft to get a bird’s-eye view of the snow-capped Denali and the majestic Alaska Range. Weather permitting, you will have the chance to land on the ancient glaciers of the Alaska Range, experience the breathtaking scenery surrounded by snow mountains in person and take photos for keepsakes.

2) Talkeetna Jet Boat Cruise (Round trip: about 2 hours with English commentary)

The captain will take you on a water sightseeing tour to enjoy the pristine Alaskan wilderness scenery along both riverbanks. The straight-line distance from here to Denali Peak, the highest summit in North America, is less than 100 kilometers (approximately 60 miles). Cruise along the Susitna River through forest trails, delve deep into the river to admire nature’s magnificent craftsmanship and gaze at the towering peaks piercing the sky. On clear days, you will be utterly amazed by the towering Denali rising abruptly from the ground. The itinerary also includes a short shore excursion to visit the hunting camps of Alaska Native people and experience the wilderness survival lifestyle of early ancestors.

Day 3: Anchorage – Hatcher Pass – Anchorage

We plan to depart from the designated hotel at around 9:30 a.m. and head to the scenic Hatcher Pass by car. Nestled between Palmer and Willow, the Hatcher Pass area boasts extremely abundant plant resources and is a perfect retreat for locals to enjoy spring outings and a paradise for road trip enthusiasts. Amidst the rolling green mountains lie alpine glacial lakes dotted with beautiful wildflowers, all embodying the grand and magnificent charm of Alaska. Bring your camera, as stunning landscape shots can be captured effortlessly along the way.

We will stop by Independence Mine State Historical Park en route. The abandoned gold mining site no longer retains its former prosperity, yet now it welcomes visitors with its unique vintage charm. Afterwards, we will visit a distinctive local microbrewery. Alaska holds an indispensable position in America's beer industry, with local breweries each featuring their own unique characteristics. You can not only learn a little about local Alaskan beer brewing techniques but also taste fresh craft beer (beer tasting fees are at your own expense; only guests aged 21 and above are permitted to drink alcohol and valid ID shall be presented upon request). We expect to return to Anchorage between 17:00 and 17:30.

Day 4: Anchorage – Alaska Glass Dome Sightseeing Train – Denali

We plan to depart from the designated hotel at 7:30 in the morning, head to Anchorage Railway Station to complete check-in procedures, and take the Alaska Glass Dome Sightseeing Train* to Denali (train tickets included). We are expected to arrive at Denali Station at 15:40 in the afternoon. After arrival pickup, we will transfer to the hotel for check-in, and then you will have free time at your own disposal.

Alaska Glass Dome Sightseeing Train:

It is one of the most popular summer travel experiences in Alaska. Especially the route from Anchorage to Denali National Park is extremely hard to book. The journey boasts stunning scenery along the way. With comfortable seats and spacious 180 glass dome windows, this moving viewing platform travels straight toward Denali Mountain, allowing you to freely take photos of the beautiful landscapes en route. While traversing the Alaskan mainland, you will experience the Alaska Scenic Railway built a century ago during the Klondike Gold Rush. Along the journey, you will be treated to constant stunning views of Denali Mountain, the highest peak in North America.

Day 5: Denali – Fairbanks – Hometown

This morning, you are free to explore the Denali National Park area at your leisure. You may join various outdoor activities in the Denali area at your own expense to get up close and personal with nature. We plan to depart from the designated hotel at around 14:00 in the afternoon by coach for Fairbanks International Airport, with an estimated arrival at approximately 17:00 (Airport Code: FAI). Today marks the end of your entire itinerary, bidding farewell to the beautiful land of Alaska.

Established in 1917, Denali National Park and Preserve is the second national park founded under the U.S. National Park System, as well as one of the world’s longest continuously protected ecological reserves. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife and boasts unique pristine natural landscapes, including the Alaska Range and subarctic vegetation. Its diverse and breathtaking scenery attracts nature lovers from all over the globe. With stunning landscapes and the thrill of wildlife spotting, visitors coming for sightseeing, mountaineering or hiking can all return with wonderful memories.

1) Denali Scenic Highway Tour (Round trip: approximately 5 hours with Chinese commentary)

Before departure, your guide will assist you in purchasing lunch for the day, or you may prepare light meals in advance. We will then head to the southern area of Denali and drive along the renowned Denali Highway famous for its spectacular scenery, embarking on an adventure to discover the rich wild charm of the Denali region. You will see marshes hidden among dense low shrubs and vast wild blueberry patches, and may occasionally spot local wildlife such as moose and Dall sheep. An experienced guide will share knowledge about local flora and fauna along the way and take you to lesser-known hidden viewing spots. You will also enjoy a short wilderness hiking experience that promises plenty of pleasant surprises. We will have an outdoor picnic today, savoring lunch leisurely amid stunning scenery — the perfect way to experience Denali. (Please remember to collect and take away all your trash before leaving.)

2) Denali Wilderness ATV Adventure (Advanced booking recommended; round trip: about 2.5 hours, including 1.5 hours of ATV riding with an English guide)

Ride an amphibious all-terrain vehicle across lake surfaces and race through the wilderness, traversing gravel roads, rocky riverbeds and winding forest trails. Along the route, you can use fixed observation telescopes to spot unique Alaskan wildlife and admire the breathtaking landforms of Alaska.
