Day 2: Calgary - Peyto Lake - Icefields Parkway - Ice Explorer - Banff

Gather at the designated location

## Itinerary Arrangement:

Calgary – Crowfoot Glacier – Bow Lake (20 mins) – Peyto Lake (30 mins) – Icefields Parkway – Lunch (self-paid, optional buffet lunch available for pre-order, 45 mins) – Snowcoach (self-paid, 90 mins) – Banff

Depart from Calgary in the morning and catch distant views of Crowfoot Glacier along the way. First, explore Bow Lake, where the silhouettes of the Rocky Mountains reflect clearly on the lake’s surface. You may also visit the lakeside Num-Ti-Jah Lodge to learn stories about Jimmy Simpson, a legendary Rocky Mountain guide. Next, head to Peyto Lake. In case of force majeure such as park maintenance closures, the attraction will be substituted with Waterfowl Lake. This maple-leaf-shaped lake resembles a turquoise ribbon embedded in the valleys of the Rockies. Afterwards, self-paid buffet lunch will be arranged at The Crossing Resort. Continue driving along the scenic Highway 93 Icefields Parkway to reach the Icefield Centre, where you will board an Ice Explorer Snowcoach to travel across the Athabasca Glacier and witness natural formations built up over millions of years. Finally, drive back to Calgary to conclude the full itinerary.

*The Ice Explorer Snowcoach operates from May 1 to October 12. Starting October 13, the tour will stay at scenic spots without the optional snowcoach activity.*

### When weather conditions are favorable:

Guests may take an easy 60-minute hike on the hills in front of the glacier to experience the icefield scenery up close.

### When weather conditions are poor:

Following the tour guide’s arrangements, guests will view the glacier from a distance, and Waterfowl Lake will be added as an extra stop.

Day 3: Banff - Lake Louise - Moraine Lake - Yoho National Park - Emerald Lake - Natural Bridge - Calgary

Assemble at the designated location

## Itinerary:

Banff - Lake Louise (75 mins) - Moraine Lake (60 mins) - Lunch at Lake Louise Village (at own expense, Grill & Bar lunch add-on available, 45 mins) - Emerald Lake (20 mins) - Natural Bridge (15 mins) - Banff - Calgary

Depart the hotel early in the morning and head west along Highway 1. The steep and rugged Castle Mountain comes into view, and soon you will arrive at Lake Louise, the most renowned lake in the Rocky Mountains. Bathed in sunlight, its mineral-rich waters shimmer with an enchanting shade of sapphire blue, embraced on three sides by the towering Victoria Glacier. Resembling a jade gem scattered among the mountains, it has earned the moniker "Sapphire of the Rockies". Glance back from the lakeshore, and the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise stands serenely amid pine forests, welcoming visitors. Afterwards, hike to the top of the trail, where the crystal-clear turquoise waters of seasonal Moraine Lake mirror the jagged Ten Peaks. Standing at the vantage point, you can take in the full grandeur of the lake and mountain scenery, losing all sense of time. After leaving Moraine Lake, proceed to Lake Louise Village for lunch (at own expense; Chinese or Western set meals can be pre-ordered as add-ons). Following lunch, continue westbound, passing the Spiral Tunnel built through the backbreaking labour of Pacific Railway workers before entering Yoho National Park. You will then reach the tranquil Emerald Lake, where red canoes ripple across its calm waters. Next, visit Natural Bridge, carved over thousands of years by the Kicking Horse River. The waterway, ancient pine trees, distant mountain ranges and shallow shoals together form a breathtaking landscape painting. On the return journey, stop over at Banff Town before driving back to Calgary.

*Moraine Lake: Seasonal Access. The tentative opening period runs from Victoria Day long weekend in May through late September to early October each year, subject to official announcements from Parks Canada. If the lake is closed and inaccessible, the alternative attractions will be Lake Minnewanka (30 mins) and Two Jack Lake (15 mins). Mandatory fees for Moraine Lake will be waived in such cases.
