# Itinerary Arrangement:
Calgary → Banff Gondola (at your own expense, 90 minutes) → Hoodoos (15 minutes) → Bow Falls (15 minutes) → Surprise Corner (15 minutes) → Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel with Lunch (at your own expense; French bistro-style meals are available for additional booking, 90 minutes) → Johnston Canyon (60 minutes) → Check-in at Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel
In the morning, take a coach to Banff National Park and arrive at Sulphur Mountain, where you will ride the Banff Gondola (at your own expense). As the gondola ascends slowly, you can admire the snow-covered mountain scenery surrounded by rolling peaks. Afterwards, head to the Hoodoos standing above the banks of the Bow River, and watch the magnificent Bow Falls rushing down, presenting a stunning contrast of black rock and white surging water just like a mighty river flowing eastward. Next, proceed to Surprise Corner for a distant view of Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel and the Bow River landscape. You will then visit the Scottish castle-style Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel and stop here for lunch at your own expense. After lunch, tour Johnston Canyon, one of the three major canyons in the Rocky Mountains, and walk along the trail to the front of the rushing waterfalls. (In case of force majeure such as park maintenance and closure, the itinerary will be replaced with visits to Lake Minnewanka and Two Jack Lake.) Check in at the hotel in Banff for the night.
# Itinerary Arrangement:
Banff → Crowfoot Glacier → Bow Lake (20 mins) → Peyto Lake (30 mins) → Icefields Parkway → Lunch (at your own expense; Western lunch bento boxes available for additional booking, 30 mins) → Glacier Snowcoach (at your own expense, 90 mins) → Banff → Calgary
Catch distant views of [Crowfoot Glacier] along the way, and first tour [Bow Lake], where the silhouettes of the Rocky Mountains reflect clearly on the lake surface. You may also drop by lakeside [Num-Ti-Jah Lodge] to learn stories of Jimmy Simpson, a legendary Rocky Mountain guide. Next, head to [Peyto Lake] (in case of force majeure such as scenic area maintenance and closure, the visit will be replaced with Waterfowl Lake). This maple-leaf-shaped lake stretches like a turquoise ribbon embedded in the valleys of the Rockies. Afterwards, drive along the picturesque Highway 93, [Icefields Parkway], and have lunch (self-paid) at [Icefield Centre] with the [Columbia Icefield] stretching out before your eyes. After lunch, board the paid [Snowcoach] to travel across the [Athabasca Glacier] and witness the accumulation of nature over hundreds of millions of years. Stop over at [Banff Town] before driving back to Calgary. Though the stop is brief, the mountains, waters, people and towns of Alberta will leave an indelible impression in your mind. Sort through the beautiful scenery captured in your camera and memories, and arrive in Calgary to wrap up this unforgettable trip.
*The Ice Explorer Glacier Snowcoach operates from May 1 to October 12. Starting October 13, the itinerary will only feature stops at scenic spots without the optional snowcoach activity.*
On clear weather days: Guests may take an easy 60-minute hike up the hills in front of the glacier to get an up-close experience of the icefield landscape.
On poor weather days: As arranged by the tour guide, guests will view the glacier from a distance, with an extra stop added at Waterfowl Lake.
