# Itinerary Arrangement:
Calgary – Banff Gondola (self-paid, 90 minutes) – Hoodoos (15 minutes) – Bow Falls (15 minutes) – Surprise Corner (15 minutes) – Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel & Lunch (self-paid; French bistro-style set meal available for additional booking, 90 minutes) – Johnston Canyon (60 minutes) – Banff
In the morning, take a coach to Banff National Park. Upon arriving at Sulphur Mountain, ride the Banff Gondola (self-paid). As the gondola ascends slowly, you can admire the snow-laden mountain scenery encircled by countless peaks. Afterwards, head to the Hoodoos standing high above the Bow River bank, and behold the magnificent Bow Falls surging downwards. Dark rock formations contrast beautifully with white rushing water, resembling a mighty river flowing eastward. Next, proceed to Surprise Corner to get distant views of Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel and the Bow River. You will then visit the Scottish castle-style Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel and stop here for a self-paid lunch. After lunch, tour Johnston Canyon, one of the three major canyons in the Rocky Mountains, and walk along the trail to the rushing waterfalls. (In case of force majeure such as park maintenance and temporary closure, the itinerary will be adjusted to visit Lake Minnewanka and Two Jack Lake instead.) Check into a hotel in Banff for the night.
# Itinerary Arrangement:
Banff - Crowfoot Glacier - Peyto Lake (30 mins) - Icefields Parkway - Lunch (at own expense; buffet lunch available for pre-order, 45 mins) - Ice Explorer & Glacier Skywalk (at own expense, 150 mins) - Athabasca Falls (30 mins) - Check in hotel in Jasper
Depart from your hotel in Banff in the morning. Admire Crowfoot Glacier along the route, then arrive at Peyto Lake. If the scenic area is closed for maintenance or other force majeure events, the itinerary will be replaced with a visit to Waterfowl Lake. This maple-leaf-shaped lake lies like a turquoise ribbon embedded in the valleys of the Rocky Mountains. Afterwards, a buffet lunch at your own expense will be arranged at The Crossing. Continue driving along the scenic Highway 93 Icefields Parkway to the Icefield Centre, where you may board the Ice Explorer (at own expense) to travel across the Athabasca Glacier and witness natural formations built over millions of years. You may also walk along the 280-metre-high Glacier Skywalk (at own expense) for panoramic views of the Sunwapta Valley; when mist and clouds roll in, it feels like wandering above the clouds. Later, head to Athabasca Falls, a waterfall formed by glacial meltwater erosion with a 23-metre drop. Finally, drive to Jasper Town and check into your hotel there.
*Operating hours for Ice Explorer and Glacier Skywalk (at own expense): May 1 – October 12.*
For departures starting October 13, the itinerary will include stops at scenic spots without bookings for Ice Explorer or Glacier Skywalk:
- In good weather: Guests can enjoy an easy 60-minute hike on the hills in front of the glacier for up-close glacier views.
- In poor weather: Follow your guide’s arrangements to view the glacier from a distance, with an additional stop at Waterfowl Lake added to the itinerary.
# Itinerary Arrangement:
Jasper – Medicine Lake – Maligne Lake (Optional Boat Cruise, 90 mins) – Lunch at Maligne Lake (At Own Expense, 45 mins) – The Crossing – Bow Lake (20 mins) – Banff
Depart from your hotel in Jasper and pass by [Medicine Lake], then reach [Maligne Lake], the world’s second-largest glacial lake, at the end of the route. Take the [Maligne Lake Cruise (At Own Expense) (Seasonal Operation)*] and drift across the 22-kilometre-long lake, slowly approaching [Spirit Island], known as "the meeting place of gods". After [Lunch at Maligne Lake (At Own Expense)], proceed to [Maligne Canyon*], the longest and deepest canyon in the Rocky Mountains. (Due to the 2024 wildfires, this stop may be replaced with Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and Lake Beauvert subject to the national park’s opening status.) Carved by glacial erosion, the canyon features deep, jagged rock formations that create a breathtaking landscape. Afterwards, drive south along the Icefields Parkway, stop for a rest at the rest area [The Crossing], then visit the expansive [Bow Lake] for sightseeing before heading south back to Banff.
*Maligne Lake Cruise (At Own Expense) operates from May 29 to October 11. Sailing schedules are subject to change based on lake ice melt conditions. When cruises are unavailable, the alternative itinerary includes Pyramid Lake (45 mins) and Patricia Lake (15 mins).
*Maligne Canyon may be replaced with Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and Lake Beauvert (30 mins total) subject to the national park’s opening status due to the impact of the 2024 wildfires.
# Itinerary:
Banff - Lake Louise (75 mins) - Moraine Lake (60 mins) - Lunch at Lake Louise Village (at your own expense; Grill & Bar set lunch is available for additional booking, 45 mins) - Emerald Lake (20 mins) - Natural Bridge (15 mins) - Banff - Calgary
Depart the hotel early in the morning and head west along Highway 1. The steep and rugged Castle Mountain will come into view. Shortly after, you will arrive at Lake Louise, the most famous lake in the Rocky Mountains. Under the sunshine, mineral-rich lake water shimmers with a captivating sapphire blue, surrounded on three sides by the towering Victoria Glacier. Resembling a jade gem scattered among the mountains, it earns the moniker "Sapphire of the Rockies". Looking back from the lakeshore, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise stands quietly amid pine forests, welcoming visitors. Afterwards, hike to the top of the trail, where the crystal turquoise waters of seasonal Moraine Lake reflect the jagged Ten Peaks. Standing at the vantage point, you can take in the full panorama of lake and mountain scenery, losing all sense of time. After leaving Moraine Lake, proceed to Lake Louise Village for lunch (at your own expense; Chinese or Western plated meals are available for extra booking). Following lunch, continue westward, passing the Spiral Tunnel built through the blood, sweat and tears of Pacific Railway workers before entering Yoho National Park. You will then reach the secluded Emerald Lake, where red canoes ripple across its tranquil waters. Next, visit Natural Bridge, carved out by the Kicking Horse River over thousands of years. The river channel, ancient pine trees, distant peaks and shallow shoals together form a breathtaking natural painting. Transfer back to Calgary for your flight in the evening.
*Moraine Lake: Seasonal access. Tentative opening period runs from Victoria Day long weekend in May through late September to early October each year, subject to official announcements from Parks Canada. If the lake is closed and inaccessible, it will be replaced by Lake Minnewanka (30 mins) and Two Jack Lake (15 mins). The mandatory fee for Moraine Lake will be fully waived.
